Training & Assigning Thugs

Thugs are the front-line defenders of your hood and a critical part of your empire's security. Before they can be used in any defensive or support role, thugs must be trained at the Ammo Shop. Each thug type has its own training time, product cost, and performance stats such as Attack Power, Defense Power, Hit Points, and Range. As you upgrade the Ammo Shop, you'll unlock faster training speeds and the ability to train multiple units simultaneously.

Once trained, thugs can be assigned to various buildings within your hood. You can place them inside businesses like the Taco Shop or Strip Club, or in vital resource centers like the Product Lab or Mansion. Assigned thugs actively defend those buildings from enemy mercs or raiding players. Strategic placement is key — always match your strongest thugs to your most valuable buildings.

Assign Space Explained

Each thug takes up a specific amount of Assign Space, which is essentially the amount of capacity they use when placed in a building or camp. For example, a basic thug like Brass Knuckle may require just 1 Assign Space, while more advanced units may require more. Similarly, every building has a defined Assign Capacity. If a building has a capacity of 2, you can only place thugs whose combined assigned space does not exceed 2.

This mechanic encourages strategic planning. You may choose to place multiple small thugs or a single powerful unit based on what suits your defense layout. The same principle applies to Camps, where unassigned thugs wait until they’re called into action.

Thug Types & Stats

There are multiple types of thugs available in the game, each offering unique strengths:

  • Brass Knuckle: A basic unit with low cost and training time. Balanced in attack and defense.

  • Baseball: A stronger thug with more HP and damage output, ideal for early-game defense.

  • Pitbull: Fast and aggressive, useful for buildings needing quick retaliation against attackers.

  • Hover: A ranged thug with higher space requirements but a powerful long-distance attack.

  • Machine Gun: A slow but deadly thug with high attack stats and long-range coverage.

Choosing the right thug depends on your defensive goals. For resource-heavy buildings like the Product Lab, high-damage thugs offer better protection. For general defense, balanced units work best. Thugs also become more important as you progress — so always keep training and upgrading.
