Beyond troops, Downtown Gangstaz lets you build and deploy defensive structures to protect your hood. These automated turrets and towers provide heavy firepower during enemy raids and can make a massive difference when fully upgraded and manned.
Heavy Gun Post: Fires fast and deals high damage to enemies in short range.
Mortar Post: Lobs explosive shells over walls, perfect for damaging large enemy groups.
Missile Launcher: Provides splash damage over a targeted area. Great for disrupting large attack squads.
Flamethrower: Deals burning damage over time to close-range enemies.
Tesla Tower: The most advanced turret. Automatically activates and doesn’t require a thug to operate.
Some of these structures need a thug assigned to operate them, while others are automated. Place them wisely near key buildings or entrances to maximize their impact.
Mines & Traps (Blaster, Tesla, Ironfang, etc.)
Mines are hidden traps that trigger automatically when enemies walk over them. They add an extra layer of passive defense and can inflict serious damage if used correctly.
Blaster: A basic explosive mine that damages enemy mercs.
Burner: Incinerates enemies with a burst of fire.
Tesla Mine: Highly effective against metal-based units like Ironclads.
Poison Mine: Releases gas that damages enemies over time.
Ironfang Mine: Devastates Ironclads and nearby enemies with high-velocity spikes.
Use mines in chokepoints or near critical infrastructure. Since they don’t require thugs to operate, they’re ideal for areas where you can’t spare extra manpower.
